Has anyone ever had a dynomax by muffler ?

So I'm getting ready to complete my exhaust finally ... I have warp speed y pipe with high flow cat ... Think bout doing 2.5 in mandrel bent b pipe (or should I just do 2.25in for backpressure?) and now I'm trying to decide on a muffler. I want to keep sound to a minimum so I used the search feature and came across posts where people were choosing dynomax super turbo muffler because it was the quietest performance muffler ... Also saw people using oem mufflers from the 4thgen and 5thgen.

So I go to dynomax website to see if I can hear the super turbo muffler in action when I came across they're new line called the vt... This muffler is supposed to cancel out drone and only make exhaust sound when the car should? My question is has anyone seen/heard/installed this vt muffler on a 4thgen? Also what would be my best choice muffler wise for least sound and best performance?

If you can find a Dynomax stainless steel Super Turbo it would be the bomb! But IIRC there inlet and outlet ports are offset but I think thier muffler are reversible....I've had about 3 Super Turbo muffler on my D21 Hardbody, i love the sound and quietness but hated the lack of durability....They rust from the inside out....I cured my problem 10 yrs ago building a custom T-409 SS and a Magnaflow SS muffler....I would do the same if I were you....Spend some money and be done with it one time!

The last thing you want in an exhaust system is back pressure.
Google "Exhaust Scavenging" to better understand how an exhaust system works.

I had a dynamax Super turbo 3" muffler with a 2.5" catback and 24" resonator. It was very quiet due to the large resonator. I'd say put an 18" or 20" res and you should be good.

Yes it's deep now but initially it was louder than the Super Turbo...but it's a 6" round x 14" long muffler....If i had to do it again I would've done a 18" long x 6" round muffler, but like all exhaust system or mufflers it's take about 500 miles of soot to start reducing volume and sharpness of an exhaust note ....The only problem I have with the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler is that it's aluminized steel not stainless steel and therefore it will corrode from the inside out! They tend to last almost 2 yrs in Texas!

I just cut off my dynomax super turbo muffler 3" inlet 3" outlet and it was quiet, decided to go with a straight through muffler

I'll trying one of them on a custom exhaust system for a 98 Ford Escort ZX2...along with OBX SS 4-2-1 headers, and ZX2 "Roush Style" intake system...
