Has anyone ever taken there tail lights apart?(need help).
As some of you guy's probably know I am trying to clear the orange out of my 2002 tail lights. Everything was set to go on Tuesday night but I ended braking my tail light into pieces{I used a hair drier}. So I bought a heat gun yesterday and decided to practice on my 2000 tail lights, the heat gun did not help at all. It seems the tail lights are presure fitted into place or something becuase heating them up does not seem to help much. There is no glue holding them together like on the headlights or 4th gen's. So has anyone ever taken them apart, if so how? Any tips would be great. I may just end up using my dremel and cuting them apart, sanding them down and then glueing/sealing them back together{this works but is a big pain}.
Thanks for any help or suggestions

I am not going to paint the clear lenses, just the internals and I will leave the chrome ring un-painted, I think this combo would look killer!

Total so far? Ohh geez, it pushing close to $300 + another 30 for a can of factory matched spray paint. BTW broke one of my 02 tail lights too, it actually does not look bad with out the clear plastic.
I am going to put together a custom black one{just for a minute} to show you guy's with black car's just how nice it looks. If all goes well the project will be completed by next weekend.
