Cheap #194 Blue Bulbs
Cheap #194 Blue Bulbs
I have heard that these cheap #194 blue bulbs from the parts store will lose their color VERY quickly? Is this true? I don't want to take off my whole gauge cluster just to have the bulbs fade back to white in a month...Or maybe burn out quickly. What's the deal?
Thanks,
Rob

I used to put 3.99 blue 194's from Advance Auto Parts in my door lights for a while...Look at it this way, they only lit up when doors were open, and even with that little use, they would go from a nice blue color to a crappy turquoise/yellowish/whitish color after about two months.
Hope that helps.
Hope that helps.
a light suffers more wear and tear if they are consistently turned on and off.....door lights suffer from this........the guage cluster on the other hand remains lite up for a good amount of time before its turned off......most of the time atleast

OOoooooooooohhh...well in that case, I would HIGHLY recommend being a cheap@$$ and buying 99 cent lights! They'll work perfectly!
