VLSD to regular 5-speed swap

Hi, I'm kind of in a predicament with my maxima. Essentially I need a new transmission. Right now, I have the VLSD 5-speed, all I'd like to know is if a regular 5-speed will bolt right up to my car. It's a 2001 20th anniversary edition SE maxima (canadian edition)

1. Will a non-limited slip transmission for a 00-03 bolt right up, no issues (other than a new drivers side CV axle)? I might be able to find one for cheaper

2. Is it ONLY 00-03 transmissions that are compatible?

Thanks!

To help clarify, the 00-01 5MTs are compatible with your setup. The 02-03 5.5 gen maximas had cable shifted 6MT HLSD manuals.
