Several Exhaust Questions for 2002

I'm finishing up my engine swap (putting a 2006 VQ35DE in place of the bad 2002) and it's time to start getting the exhaust pieces.

I've ordered the OBX headers and y-pipe as that is the first piece I need. That brings up the first question. Since this is removing/replacing the pre-cats do I need to get O2 sims/spacers/antifoulers for the sensors at the pre-cats? Or is the O2 sim/spacer/antifouler required only for the one in the y-pipe? Which should I get, sim or spacer? Sim basically eliminates the signal from the O2 sensor, but then I have to hang the sensor somewhere to keep the O2 heated signal. Will the spacer work fine then?

Does anyone know the diameter of the OBX y-pipe going back to the cat? 2.25" or 2.5"?

Next I plan on getting the Magnaflow High-flow cat to replace the rusted out original cat as that is what I saw recommended in a lot of the threads I've read. Is there a fourth 02 sensor by the cat? I can't recall as the exhaust was torn apart a while ago.

Would you get the 2.25" or 2.5" Magnaflow? I looked at Warpspeed at their cats and isn't the one recommended for the 2002 a little short at only 12.5"? I thought flange to flange should be about 16".

I then plan to get the SR-S axle back muffler. From what I can see that includes what looks to be a resonator in the mid-pipe section, so I won't be getting the Magnaflow resonator.

Anything else I might have missed?

Thanks.

I believe obx is 2.25" and I know you can put an o2 sim on all the secondary sensors..gotta leave the primary.
Not sure about the relocation.
Congratulations on the newer engine and good luck!

There is not a sensor for the main cat, so just leave that one as is.

I'd say go as big as possible, such as the fastcat 2.75" or a 3" test pipe, but if you're going with the RSR cat back I think it's 2.5". As for the length of the cat/test pipe, the ~12" is what you want, 16" would be too long.

I wouldn't have figured I could use the 06 engine if it wasn't for this forum. Hopefully it will all go smooth.

I haven't found anything for the fastcat. From what I understand it is a Cattman product, but not finding anything on specs or where to buy it from. I've been looking at the Warpspeed cats as they are Magnaflows. I guess the 16" long one is for the older Maxima. I see the one for the 02 now and it is 12".

Send me a PM with your best price. Also, can you point me to anything online about the Fastcat?

Everything on the FC online will bring you back here to this site. In any case, it's 2.75", and here's my link for my FS stuff, it's in there.

Yes, I remember seeing that add. I can get the Warpspeed for $135 and with NC emissions the way they can be, I'll have to think about whether it will pass.
