Anybody got pics of the really dark green color for the 97-99 Maxima???

I might be able to get a pretty decent deal on a 97 Maxima SE but it's not black like I wanted, it's dark green. Anyone got pics of this car and what you can make it look like??

Also what kind of aftermarket colors look good on the 97-99 maximas?

Thanks.

My '96 maxima is dark green. I'm guessing its the same for 97-99. The green is so dark that usually at night its very hard to notice that it isn't black, overall its not the best color, but you could do a lot worse i think.

That's a great looking color. Nicks very clean SE above is one the better ones I've seen pics of. I have the same but not mint like Nicks. If it has tan leather I think it's nicer looking than black on black.

Check my sig and
http://www.members.aol.com/WaarrEagle Anything with "max" in it is a pic you might be interested in. The pics aren't the best and the car isn't even clean but its all I've got. Also, people think my car is black until they see it in bright direct sunlight up close.

What happened to "Deep Evergreen" like my 97? They changed it to black emerald?? Is the color actually different or did they just change the name. Yours looks purdier but maybe because my car wasn't clean when I took these pics.

Emerald Pearl is darker.

I think there are two different colors that people are talking about.

The car i'm lookin' at is a 97 and the guy described the paint over the phone as dark green so I don't know.

The one that looks almost black is a really nice and It does look sweet with tan leather but this car i'm lookin' at has no leather.

I'm gonna go check it out tommarrow so I'll have a better Idea ... or i'll go to the nissan dealer and get a color chart so see what the colors really are, but the ones posted in this thread look really nice!!!

95-96 and 97-99 had different colors I think...at least...95 has more blue in the green than my 98. 95GreenGLE and I notice a difference...of course he repainted his car now, but whatever...his STOCK color was different. My mom's 96 SE looks fairly close to mine though.

The car looks black most of the time, not green, but it's nice. I can't wait to get my car repainted (same color), so it looks nice.

Yes, they are diamond cut...got them from Greg (custoommaxima.com) a while back.

I have people that live around me that thought the car was black for years, and then when they caught it in the right light, asked when the car was repainted dark green.

ok ... according to edmunds.com

95-96 was Emerald Black (which is really dark green ... looks nice!!)
97-98 Blue Green Pearl (no idea what this looks like)
99 Deep Evergreen (very close to Emerald Black from 95-96)
99 Sage Mist Green (not a dark green at all)

Anybody have a car that is a different combonation????

I have a "dark green" '97 SE too and it really looks black most of the times. Everyone who sees it for the first time thinks it's black until they find out that it's dark green. And even when it looks like the color that it really is, it's not a nasty green, close to black so very nice.

All '97-'99 had Deep Evergreen. That is what color mine is. I love it. I plan to trade it in in a year or so for a 5-speed Maxima, and if I can, I'm gonna buy the same color.

Later,

haha...riiight. Most people like the 97-99 black-green color a lot. I like to call it "stealth green," as a joke. It's stylin'. I think that my least favorite color is the pebble beige color...no offense...it just reminds me of old ppl. :}

I bought the car with this lovely color in mind. Funny thing is....I don't know what the what the official name for the color is....I don't think NISSAN does!! They signed the car out to me as "black"......sometimes those dealership people really dissapoint me.
