Max Issues

Hi guys I have a 01 maxima now so far I have a few problems that im desperately need help with*1. I have two engine codes with P0403Heres the issue with that one there is nowhere on my car that I can see that have the EGR like the rest cars I've seen.2. The car wont go pass 80mph or will the rpm pass 2700 without the whole car shaking now is this somethings I need to be concerned about or is it worth the headache3. Bought some headers but the rear header has the pipe line for EGR d9nt know what to do hereI need someone or who ever that can spoon feed me some info to get it fixed the correct way. Greatly appreciatedThank You

Egr i am pretty sure you have one and its buried back there.try swapping your MAF do a search for maf on here and see if that describes your rpm and speed issue.

There was another person that posted that they couldn't find the EGR valve on his 2001. He also had a P040? code. He swore up and down that he didn't have an EGR valve. I never saw a definitive answer to that little mystery.

What is the production date of your car? Could you possibly have a late production 2001 with a 3.5 engine in it? What is the engine serial number?

EGR comes only on fed spec. If it's a cali spec 01 there is no EGR, there is also no EGR on my cali-spec 2k. IIRC late model 2000's like mine and moving forward there was no more EGR when they went to cali emissions for all Maxi's.
