p0455 & P0442

Could be this be the reason why I have a vapor leak?
Anything weird in the pictures???


In the picture above, does that look like a leak??

is this weird or it's normal.

i can only see the middle picture, but a bad gas cap can lead to an evap leak. Or, the vent control valve is bad. I had the P0455, and i replaced the valve and cannister, I no longer get the check engine light.

Its a internal leak its nothing you can see just replace your evap valve on the canister and your gas cap and make sure you plug the valve in till you hear it click

Is it easy to remove and install? I think it only has 2 screws

The screws and canister might break is what I read when I had to do it and the canister cracked so I had to replace it anyway, if you try it be very careful.

Ok. So i would have to remove the canister so i can remove the valve or is it possible to remove the valve without having to remove the canister?

Either way but easier to remove while thing and soak bolts in pb blaster

You need to remove the canister it's basically 1 piece
