replacement tires 2011 Maxima

NEW TO SITE
Owner of 2011 Maxima
Time to replace tires at 37,000 miles
Any suggestions or should I just go with Nissan dealer recommendation?

Depends what you want All Season or Summer set?

For All Season I'd go with Continetial DWS' (I have these and love them)

If just summer the Hankook V12

I highly recommend the Michelin A/S 3s. Great wet traction. Excellent grip all around. Road noise is still a bit of an issue though.

Where are you located and what type of weather conditions do you face? If you experience some occasional icing on the road (no, not the cake), then all-seasons is most likely a must for you. However, if you experience mostly dry and occasional rainstorms that completely drench the road, then a summer performance tire will outperform an all-season tire.

This isn't something I am making up either, Tire Rack has proven this.

I have a lot of faith in my dealership. They have a buy 3 one for free and they meet or beat other tire shops... I don't need tires yet... getting close.. have about 41000 miles on the OEM so figure about another 3-5000 or so and they will come off. Don't know what way I will go tho..

Its always nice to shop around, but my dealer matched Tire Rack and its just less hassle. They gave me their price and I search that night for the same tire and what the reviews were and went with the dealer. They were Hankook V12's (I think - its been awhile) and the change in road noise from the RSA was dramatic! I'm pleased with the results. They even gave me a free loaner because it might take an extra day to get the tires.

I buy used tires. 9-10th tread or so. I save about $130 per tire.

Last tire I bought was basically new. Cost me $90. Goodyear RS-A.

I put Michelin Primacy MXM on both the 2011 Jaguar and then the 2012 Maxima at 43,000 miles and I highly recommend them for daily driving.
There was enough tread on the OEMS that Discount gave me $120 trade in credit.
I never cut corners with tires and brakes. I'd never buy used tires for any car.
Good luck!!!

Another vote for Pilot Sport AS3 if you get a lot of rain.

Continental DWS & Nitto Motivo are good all season tires.
