Side View Mirrors not tilting down when in reverse

Maybe I just hit a switch that deactivated this feature, but I noticed when I put my Max in reverse, both side view mirrors automatically tilted down so I could see the curb on both sides. I noticed this feature stopped working in my car today. I put my car in reverse now and the side view mirrors don't tint like they use to, they just remain still.

Any ideas? Maybe I just hit a switch that deactivated this feature?

Your mirror adjustment switch is in the middle. The mirrors only tilt down if it's to the left or right.

Same problem for me and while that worked it only fixed it partially. Now only my drivers side tilts down no matter which side I put it on

Mine work fine but sometimes the passenger side one goes haywire and will get stuck doing an up and down non-stop dance. It's so aggravating. In my opinion, they don't go down far enough anyway to see the curb so I stopped using it. I have heard many people have issues with this though.

Thanks Tony. That was it. My mirrors tilt down again!

Mines work perfectly fine. Both sides tilt down when in reverse which gives me a great view of the curb.

Had no clue...

I wasn't even aware of this feature. Ahhh it's a great thing being able to read lol. So let me get this, the mirror control that allows me to tilt them to adjust my view, has to be set either on the left or right in order for the mirrors to go down when I'm in reverse?

Is that correct?

That's correct. Set it and forget it.

My mirrors don't tilt at all in the left or right switch position. What model Max has this feature?

I'm assuming maybe it would be the Premium Package. I notice you have the SV and if doesn't work with the SV Maxima then it may be a package that needs to be added. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes. I turned my switch to the right side and left it there. After the side view mirrors tilt while in reverse!

I have a 2012 SV with the technology package and cold package, but no navi.

So my car has all leather, the heated side view mirrors/seats/steering wheel, the backup camera, and the 9 speaker bose setup.

I think you're right Propa. I don't have the Premium or the navi.
