Rebuilt rear calipers - any differences between stores?

My right rear is leaking, don't want to rebuild myself, is the rebuild quality the same across the board from the local stores? Will replace both.

I would like to hear what others have to say but it seems like the ones I get are one and done after two years when the pads go down. They tend to not go back in and if they do, they don't function well.

I've used advanced auto and even autozone. You might find a better price from an internet site.

I bought two new ones for the rear last year from Oreilleys. Generic house brand. They work fine so far. Starting to rust already, but thats my fault for not painting them when they were off the car. I wanted to make sure they worked first.

I bought 2 rebuilt or new calipers about 5-6 years ago from NAPA for my 5.5 Gen and they came painted silver and are still looking good today.....

The biggest complaint that I see on product reviews for rebuilt calipers is rust. I guess that can be cured by caliper paint before installation. IIRC, I replaced some heavily rusted calipers on my 95 SE MT5 (from Ohio) and painted them with caliper paint a few days before installation.

Those were from AZ and now I am mulling the idea of trying a reman OEM.

I don't mind the rust as I have painted mine as well. The problem is after using a set of pads on them and time to replace the pads, what's the chances of the cylinder going in and working properly the second time around. Maybe because I am in the NE and the rear don't wear out for roughly 3 years for me.
