Taking all this into consideration Maxima should be a little faster.

Are you comparing an automatic 528 with a 5-spd 4th gen?? Same transmission, they are about the same speed. Even though the BMW only has 2.8 liters, it is a suprisingly powerful engine. In the 3-series, which weights 3300-3500 lbs, that little engine zips a manual equipped 328 to 60MPH in under 7 seconds. The 5-series doesn't weigh much mroe, and should do 0-60 in 7 seconds as well with the manual 528i.
I remember the other day I saw this new 525i (yes the 184hp 2.5L 5-series) ahead of me, and it was pretty fast. I wasn't exactly flooring it, but was pushing the throttle pretty hard and that 525 was pulling away from me! I was like whoa...must have been a manual!
lucky you guys are on topic... for some dumba$$ reason, i keep reading it as: Hewlitt Packard on a BMW 528....
then thoughts of a printer on top of a bmw appear in my head...
(self hug)
ok i feel better now
I always thought 328's had 190hp and 528 had like 2 or 300 hp...
ehh

Yeah that 525i must have been a 5-speed, or maybe a rebadged 540i?

That would be awesome to see a 528i with an HP printer on the roof...I bet it's good for an additional 100 HP (Horse Power, not Hewlett Packards
)

with the rear of the printer extended upwards, it acts like a wing...when your ****ed at the guy behind you... print a sheet saying somethin nasty, and when it s done it'll fly off the tray and onto the car behind you. Hmm... functionality at it's best

That is the time for the automatic 528i. The manual 528i does 0-60 in 6.8 secs.
