eibach pro kit installation cost?

newbie here, i just bought my 2011 maxima and the 1st mod i want to do is lower it..im not very handy as far as doing the work myself so i will have to have it installed....i got a quote from the "best" shop in my area and they are saying around $1200...thats including camber bolts if needed...does this seem reasonable?

Hell no. I paid 150 for labor didn't need any extra parts either.
It wouldn't be hard to do except compressing the springs is not the safest process without the right tool.
Get another quote for sure where are u located?

Is it $1200 just for installation, or parts + labor? If just labor, that is extremely high. If it's $1200 for everything, that is still too high considering you can get the Eibach kit for about $300 shipped. You should expect to pay in the $300 to $400 range for just labor. You might even find labor for less if you really shop around.

If I was you, I'd get a two or three more quotes.

Yeah that's way too high. If my memory is correct, I paid under $300 for the install with an alignment. You may want to get the SPC rear camber kit (350z) installed to also get that out of the way in one shot.

I'm in NoVA and shopped around just a little. Everyone seemed like they were charging an arm and a leg. In the end I did it myself using guides from here, though it took me forever and a day. Main thing is to have the right tools for the job. Can't say it was fun, but I did feel quite accomplished afterward.

Installers.....

Go to "Quality Tire" near Potomac Mills Mall, they'll install it for you cheap ask for Jeff, however if you go to Alex's garage off of route 1, he'll install it and do the alignment at the same time. He's a great mechanic and a cool dude but maybe pricey ($500) for everything. PM me for his info in you're interested. Good luck....

That'd ridiculous! I live in the Washington Metro area and have received quotes north of $500. Most of the shops I called seem to refer to some manual for their pricing which is just crazy. It should take an hour at best for a shop with a spring compression machine. Even if they add on an extra hour it should be around $200 give or take a few bucks. 2011maximapa, where are you at in PA? I'm not far away from the MD/PA line south of Gettysburg. Does your guy have a shop?
