Well I just got back from my first real trip in my Maxima. Overall it was a great trip and it reinforced how much I love the car. It was very comfortable, even after being in it for 10 hours straight today. Something that notice now that I don't have the noisy OEM tires is a whistling sound. I use to be a cop and it sounds like the noise the light bar on top or sometimes the spot light would make cutting through the air on the highway on my patrol cars. For the life of me I can't figure out what is causing it.

Anybody have any ideas?

 

My whistling sound was from the driver's side at higher speeds. If everything is closed and you can hear it, you might check to see if all the holes on the underside of your side mirror are covered. One of mine was not and a small piece if electrical tape solved it.

 

Yeah probably the side mirror. Others have reported issues like yours.
