VLED Triton V3 fitment

Hey guys,

Has anyone successfully installed VLED Triton V3's on their 7th gen? I just tried to do the rear turns but noticed there really isn't anything to secure the bulb, and the rear of the heat sinks seems to stick out far enough you can get the taillight all the way back in.

I haven't even tried to do the front turns yet, but I'm going to run into issues with nothing for the bulb to hold into?

Thanks,

S

I've only done the front turn signals. The kit comes with a round sleeve with holes in it. Using the provided screws and rubber spacers you have to install the metal ring with the screws in order to make tabs to hold the bulb in place. I was only able to use 2 instead of the normal 3 screws but it still fits securely and i haven't had any problems with them in a year or so.

Yeah, I just tried the fronts, but it seems the particular bulb (or control unit) is shorting out my front clearance light circuit. I put it back to stock and will figure it out....frustrating project. These things work great on my 5.5gen.

These are all gen2 standard amber. Didn't do switchbacks.

I think I might know my problem. I suspect I ordered the wrong base. The ones I have is the 3157 base. I think I've read somewhere this actually needs to be CK bases?

The behavior is that I instantly blow the fuse for the clearance lights when I turn the parking lights on. I did try to step up the amp from 10 to 15 and still yields the same problem. It like that circuit might be shorted. The regular turns do work fine though.

Got the bases today. This fixed everything up. Now to figure out what to do for the rear turns. What have others done?

I have V3's in my rear. Had to bang out some of the metal so that big *** base of the LED could fit back there. Well worth it though.

Hrm been thinking about these LEDS all week. I'd love to take a look in person and compare them to my stock 2011 maxima.
