Swap Out 2012 BOSE System w/Amber Screen for OEM Navi or Color Display Setup?

Dear All,

I have Nissan Maxima 2012 with amber LED screen and i want to swap from LED to color display with navigation.
I have found full control unit in the local market. My question is that, Is it possible that i can change the unit with current unit without any changing? Is it easily adjust in current dashboard?

Please see the attached files

Look and see if the speaker grilles in the rear deck say Bose, if they do, you have it.

I believe you will need the Bose amp if you don't have it already and the AV module, and maybe some other modules that attach to the headunit in order to get it to display.

If you have the FSM, in the AV section you can see the complexity of what you're trying to do by comparing the Bose with amber screen system wiring layout on pages 130-132 and the Bose w/o Navi on pages 266-271. There's a lot of additional components and wiring involved with replacing it.

It might be doable, but for how time consuming it looks and additional wiring required, it doesn't look like it's worth the time to me. Would definitely be easier to go aftermarket.

A couple people have tried this, but have been unsuccessful. The connectors will not match up to what is currently in your car.
