Car wouldnt start this morning.

My husband went to leave in my car this morning, went to start the car and all the lights lit up on the dash, but the car wouldnt start. It completely locked up, said the door was open even after it was closed... There was a loud beeping noise and all the lights on the dash were on, but we couldnt get it to do anything . Couldn't toggle through the on/acc on the push start, tried putting the key fob in the key port...nothing. We finally unhooked the battery cable and after hooking it back up the car started and has been fine since. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem. I called the dealer and they said to bring it in and have it checked out as a precaution. I am not able to get it in until the saturday after next, so just wanted some input as to anyone else having this problem? Hoping it was just a fluke!

Very well could have been just a bad connection with the cables on the terminals and by disconnecting them and hooking them back up gave them a better connection on the terminals.

Was the brake pedal hard to depress as well? Both of my friends with 09-12 Altimas had dead batteries within the same week. Same symptoms. Jumped the battery and everything has been fine since. If the dealer is willing to take care of it, bring it to them especially if it is still under warranty. Otherwise, AutoZone has a battery tender and reader to see if it is still okay to use.

More then likely the crappy oem battery, def died out on you when u had the doors open, get the battery checked for free at a auto parts store, and like I said more then likely it's done so buy a decent battery, don't cheap out on it
