Sunroof Drains

Does anyone know where the sunroof drains are located? I have found ones in the front corners of the sunroof. They seem to be clear. I am getting water in the front and rear drivers side floor. Thank

my experience only with a 6th gen. it goes down the a-pillars down to the floorwell. if nothing has changed since 6th.. search for a post from 'lightonthe hill' (it's been 6 years since I've not had the maxima - traded it in coz of water leaks/rust, in floorwell, from sunroof leak). he explained it well when he had the 6th gen ... I know he moved to a 7th gen later.

also just saw a sticky on 6th gen about it .. tho it does not explain how the water gets there.

I think the only drains are in the front corners of the sunroof. My drivers front and rear floor carpet was wet so I thought it was the sunroof drains. I checked those and they were clear. The problem was the HVAC module drain. I removed the forward panel from the passenger side of the console and water was dripping from the HVAC module. You can see the drain hose coming from the module. Be careful when you remove the drain hose there was at least a quart of water in it. Looked like the drain hose was clogged with leaves. Cleared them out now I am all set.

Yes, this is recommended as well if you are smelling mold through your vents. Chances are it is clogged and your cabin air filter is either soaking or manifesting the smell with leaves and other debris. Have a bucket ready if you plan to go through this route, a good amount of nasty water is expected to come out if it is indeed clogged.
