TPMS wheel sensor: OEM or Aftermarket?

One of my sensors is out and according to parts.nissanusa.com the replacement would be $94.17 which sucks.

Is this something that should be had from the dealer or can I use some Amazon/eBay one? My only goal here is to rid my dashboard of that light.

For members of Da Club, the tire lady at Sam's said they sell them there but if my car uses an aluminum valve stem (yes) then I would need to get it myself; true?

Part number is 40700-1AA0B. They are made by Schrader. eBay or Amazon should be fine as long as they are brand new. I wouldn't risk a used one. You will also need to get a rebuild kit which are like $3 at autozone. They can try to reuse your current hardware but a lot of times, the nut will get corroded. Worth it just to get a whole new hardware set. Sweet talk you tire store and see if they will do it for a decent price...if not free.

Is there a particular reason why these don't work on a 2014?

When I went on ebay and searched for sensors for my car I noticed that some of them have a part number 40700-1AA0B and others have 40700-1AA0D only the last letter is different.. Will both of them work for my car or is there only one that works? I have a 2009 maxima sv

Wondering the same thing here. I came across 40700-JA00C and the listing stated it's compatible with 2007-2014 Nissan Maxima. I don't trust the information. Companies can write anything to sell their products. Does anyone have any experience with using 40700-JA00C (or any other part number for that matter) as opposed to 40700-1AA0B?
