Have bose stereo, want cleaner sound...... PLEASE HELP !!!

The stock 98 SE bose stereo in my car sounds decent, until it is turned up. I would like to add a subwoofer in the trunk, but keep the stock mids/tweets. Can I cut the low bass from the stock speakers and keep the mid bass from the stock speakers, and just get low bass from a sub? How do I add an amplifier to the stock system, just for the sub?

you will need a high/low converter($40) and 8 gauge amp wiring kit ($50-60). Install is fairly easy. Just find both REAR speaker leads coming off the back of the bose headunit. It would be easier if you has a Nissan 95+ wiring harness as a reference. All you have to do is plug in the new harness to the existing harness and follow back the green and purple wires into the existing harness(one that plugs into Bose) just tap into those wires and your set! Run you rpower wire and rca's(opposite sides of course) and your good.

Ok so Im not a stereo guy, BUT deal with me. Where do I buy this convertor from? I understand the "8 guage amp wiring kit" includes RCA's for the amp to plug in. So just look for the green and purple wires and I don't need to mess with the harness that is pluged into the back of the headunit!?! How do I then cut the low end and have only mid bass come from the factory bose speakers? Oh, by the way, how is the proper way to remove the head unit. Sorry to be such a pain.
