I'm about to throw in the towel looking for this camshaft sensor.

Ok so I got a code p0014 on my wifes 2009 maxima. The first thing I want to do is try to replace the bank 1 camshaft sensor. I've been looking around on google, and see its easy to find in 6th gen maximas and pretty much every other car. I'll be damned if I didn't look every where for that damn thing on my wife's car and couldn't find it. Does anyone here have experience finding this?
That code could also be problem with the exhaust valve timing control solenoid, could be caused by dirty oil that will cause the valve to stuck open or closed.
Have you tried resetting the code after an engine oil change.

No no no no no. Look up the Nissan technical service bulletin. NTB12-116.
Google search for it or go to your dealer. The fix looks fairly involved.
Can also try the EVT control relearn. Warm up engine and in P or N, hold engine at 2500rpm for at least 20 seconds...doubt it will fix it but worth a shot.
How in the world would you get from exh cam position sensor to throttle position sensor? Very different things...

Had the same code on my 09. I cleared the code, changed the oil and it hasn't been back since. No issues with performance of the car either before the code, when the code came on, or since.
Might suggest trying that before spending a ton of money on replacing a part that according to what I read, might be as much an oil issue (it's effect on the part) vs. the part itself.
That's just my experience, but I'm a "roll the dice" type of person, so if your risk tolerance isn't that high, maybe disregard my suggestion.
Good luck!!

I am with the OP ive looked it the Fsm i got from here for the 2009 maxima and it shows the cam sensors in the diagrams but they are not on the engine in those locations..... unless im upside down and backwards!!!!!!!!! removed the air intake and still no luck finding the friggin thing!!! any body have any info on this......
this is where they are on my 2009.... you have to rmove the upper air intake as well as the air filter housing and various other items to get to the rear one. there is a good video on youtube..... spark plug replacement .... will show you exactly what all needs removed then use the drawing to locate the sensors. But beware i replaced both of mine and the car still will not start it cranks but will not start!
