2004 Maxima not shifting in 2nd or 4th gear

So i have a 2004 Maixma with 135k miles automatic 4 speed trans. I just replaced the front camshaft position sensor as car would turn off every now and then. Autozone put scanner and thats what it said, put it on and car was driving like new again. Then the next day i get in to go to the store and i noticed it was still in 1st gear @ 2500 rpm so i gave it more throttle and i felt a shift @ around 20mph (3000 - 3500)rpm. so i drove it with higher velocity and i noticed i also dont get OD. I put it in M1 and it works, I put it in M2 and no response, i put it in M3 and i get it to shift. Took car to trans shop and they said that all the sensors are working according to their scanner as it didnt find anything and they believe it might be internal damage. I am just clueless as to what happened as i cant believe my transmission has something internally wrong. It has never slipped gears when shifting, i dont hot rod my car, i use my 4x4 truck for that. I read threads of people having issues with their MAF but i think this is different issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated or any thoughts. Also trans fluid doesnt have no odd color & smells clean not burnt. I havent seen any threads with this kind of problem. Thanks, Mike

I'd have preferred an oem camshaft sensor.
Also check your ATF to be clean and gauged.

This generation has AT and CVT transmission flaws.

Well i did a rebuild and found the 2-4 band was worn to the rivets on one side. LOL
This would explain the flare that i used to have from 2-3.
It is driving like new again with no problems shifting at all.
