ABS/Non-ABS Knuckle, Front

If I'm swapping the knuckle to make a wheel bearing/hub change easier, and I got a ABS version from the boneyard, but I don't have ABS, can I just leave it out? Plug that hole with something? I can't recall if I have ABS sensor on there (car is with son, so a quick peek isn't possible).

I hope it is the same otherwise.

Also, is the knuckle the same for both sides? Can I take my passenger side and rebuild it planning to throw it on the drivers side?

Thanks all,
John

The knuckles for left and right sides are not the same, so you won't be able to use the old knuckle on the other side of the car.

The only difference between the abs and non-abs versions is that the abs one has a sensor ring on it and a sensor that mounts on it. Not a problem to use it on a non-abs car. As for the hole for the sensor, I can't recall what it looks like. Look in there and see if it goes all the way through. If it does, a big blob of silicone would take care of that or leave the sensor in the opening.
