Hey, If I get an JWT or UPRD ECU upgrade is there a point in getting the torque converter by protorque? I have an 96SE auto, y pipe, random cat, b pipe, hks muffler, cattman CAI, and Don's VB upgrade 18" rims (i modded my car for a combination of looks and performance). I want faster take offs because the car is a little slower since I got the 18's, would the torque convertal upgrade from protorque have any advantage if I already have a modded ECU? Thanks.

 

correct me if i am wrong someone, but doesnt the maximum gain from the ecu occur at midrange and upwards, even though there is low end gain? anyway, a high stall torque convertor will let you launch at a higher rpm than you would now. other than that there is no other effect it will cause. a combination of both the tc and the ecu should do real good off the line. if i had the money for both, i'd do it.
