So I just installed my CAI today. When I rev to higher revs, it seems to be very very noisy. Is this normal? I put some pipe insulation (thick) around the CAI so I know that it is not vibrating against the fender wall...it may be vibrating against the plastic fender arch lining.

Also when it's idling, there is a hiss noise ("shhhhhh") from the fender. It sounds like when you take the stock filter box lid off and remove the filter. Is that normal? I have checked the connections and they're all tight ... no air leaks.

The power seems to be a lot better! It seems to rev up much faster. I feel the difference with both Y pipe and CAI ... just the noise is rather annoying!

 

all those sounds seem normal. what did you have as an intake before? stock?

 

Yeah I was stock b4! Too bad it's so loud!
