Has anyone tried using 14 inch wheels with M/T slicks for the 1/4. They are approx 64 inches in circ which should lower the gear ratio considerably? (approx 20%) The wheel will probably require an offset or something to fit over the hub but I thought it might be an interesting and cheaper way to improve 1/4 miles times.

 

Sounds like an idea, try it and post your results before and after the 14inch wheels.
