Most prestine maxima ever

I've been looking for an SE-L for a while now, I stumbled onto a unicorn, the holy grail of maximas 99 SE-l with only 67k miles! Yes, you read that correctly, although it seems like the owner is apparently smoking on crack when it comes to vehicle appraisal. Before I go further here is the link:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/5417416892.html
First off tell me that maxima doesn't belong in a nissan museum? I was shocked at the mileage and just how clean the engine compartment is. he did not really drive that car.
I would buy the maxima in a hot sec if he came down to what it is actually worth($2461). Any advise on how to persuade him to come to reality and bring the price down?

It's definitely worth more then 2400, that's what I sold my 99 SE-L with 225K on the clock.
Throw him a reasonable offer, you might get lucky.

I saw that ad when I was browsing CL yesterday. Sure, he's asking too much, but I bet he's not really expecting to get that. More around $4000 or $5000 would be my guess.

by me, all the the 4th gen maximas are less than 2 grand. I got mine with 44k miles on it for $1700. However, the body is all scratched and scuffed and the sunroof leaks and the radio is intermittent...but i still have it!

Give it time. Hit him up in a month and he'll be more likely to negotiate.
A car with that low mileage should fetch about 3500 to 4000.

And don't let the pics do the talking, pics are often and can be very, very deceiving.

oh i checked kbb and edmunds private party value, a car in excellent shape with 67k miles is only worth $2446(kbb) $3191(EDMUNDS). if i pay more than its worth, i will be ****ed cause insurance will only pay out the actual value. Yeah im going to wait.

damn $8k! though it looks brand new, I would maybe do $4k, considering its in rare condition.. too bad it has no mods at all, all complete stock..this would probably be a trouble free car for many years anyway, I would say around 110k-120k mark on that car, may start to experience small problems coming.

also the paint has no pearls in the paint, so its just the plain white job...so that may make it a little cheaper..considering its cheap to paint a car plain white.

I've seen many clean and so called pristine cars in pictures, only to show up and see that it's fair to good at best.

The '99s had a different pearl white than the 95-98. They switched to Icelandic Pearl in '99, and it was not as nice as the Artic White Pearl, IMHO. It was kind of a yellow white, and the pearl didn't pop. I don't believe they ever used a non-pearl white from '95-'99.

First off thanks for the find, i'm looking into it. I really want a 99 SE-L or maybe GLE(if all else fails) in white or black though since I will be transferring all my interior to it(for those who are curious its a Samsung tab s running digitalcar, I have two hard drives hook up to it and wifi hot spot from my phone).
Secondly I don't think this is stated enough, maxima.org is one of the biggest reasons I actually really like my car, all the input, advise and stories so i don't make the same mistakes others did before me has been invaluable. So Let me just say it THANK YOU ALL, I really appreciate it.

**update**:The seller dropped the price of the "prestine" maxima by a whopping $5, he is seriously smoking on crack:http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/5417416892.html

Reminds me of a Buick station wagon I came across online. I like them for whatever reasons, and this was the LT1 (watered down Corvette motor with true stainless duals).

That Maxima is sweet except for the auto. What's nice about the pics, is it reminds me of a time when my car had no rust.

I'm guessing it,s his favorite car and his wife says "get rid of that old POS". He posts it to make her happy and asks enough that he will never have to sell it.

^ hmm sounds right, It looks like he doesn't really want to sell it, but if someone were to buy it for 8k, he'll probably be shocked and accept the offer. probably buy another for 2k, and have 6k play money to mod on the other?
Women don't know cars very well unfortunately, most of them just get ripped off..besides I remember one of my Co-workers who is a girl had to replace her radiator on a toyota camry for $900! I told her.. "You got ripped off badly.." it should of been more of $150-250..

guess this is why women can't own them cause mechanics will just rip them off with ridiculous prices for small things, happens alot unfortunately
