Paddle shifters in a non Sport Package SV

Does anyone know if the connections and wiring exist on the non sport package SV Maximas for the paddle shifters? I would like to install them if there is provisioning on the wiring harness to connect them, but I definitely do not want to splice and rig it to work. I just thought that they would be nice to add a set of GTR paddles if it's a simple plug and play. Anyone know, or has installed them on their SV?

Considering all the changes you want to make you should have just bought an SV Sport. :-)
I doubt anyone has done this. Even if you add the wiring and parts there are probably software settings required from the dealer.

They look nice but are really a waste. Save the time and money for something else more useful.

Nopike-I agree with you. He should've just purchased the sport model.

I was going to, but the lack of a folding rear seat was a deal breaker.:-) Oh well, I do have the sport package grille for it and many other mods will be installed this year.

If they are a simple add on, I think that it would look nice and make the car look a little classier. I thought that they were fun to play with on the sport that I have driven, but I know that they do not help improve shifting performance at all. Considering that it's not, I'll put the mod money to better use. Thanks

FWIW I have a 2014 SV Sport. I've used that paddle shifters less than a dozen times since I bought the car two years ago. They do help driving on snowy/icy roads when you want to bring the rpms up. I think they are a novelty that wears out quickly for most.

I tried mine once to see if they worked, never used them again.

I used to do the same thing when I'd go from my 6 speed SS to my wife's car, I'd automatically go to push the clutch in to start it.

its been a while since 08 since I totaled my 95 Max with 5 speed. But I recall doing the same thing and reaching for a clutch.

I traded my 6 speed Maxima in 2010 and I still to this day every now and then grab my shifter like I'm about to shift gears. I'm to the point now that my next vehicle whether a DD or toy, it's going to be a stick.

LMFAO, I am the same way, I don't think i've EVER used them for a purpose outside of just making sure they did work.

Had the car going on 2 years and I never used it, nor have i EVER put my shifter in anything but drive, never took it over to the manual setting on the shifter.
IMO I think they are a waste for typical driving.
