I recently read that OEM Nissan air filters come oiled up. I've been using regular dry Fram & Puralotor filters since I've had the car. Is this a problem? I thought oiled filters don't play nice with MAF's.

 

Personally, never heard of an oiled OEM Maxima filter, but aftermarket oiled are available and if used as instructed, not over oiled, there should be no problem with AFM contamination. I've had a K&N oiled on one of my cars for 15 years no problems.
