Daughter has driven an '04 I35 for nearly 6 years now... actually, two of them. The first was totaled last Aug when someone popped her pretty hard at an angle into the rear DS quarter panel and door. Bought another 04 I35 to replace it, but it appears it has thrown a rod at 123K miles.

I'm looking for help in thinking through the best path forward with the vehicle.

I'm going to cancel my account. I came here looking for advice from knowledgeable Nissan/Infiniti owners, but I can only conclude that the folks in this forum either do not know enough to answer my simple questions or don't care about new members who are looking for their "wisdom". Both of these potential scenarios are a HUGE departure from what I've experienced in other automotive-related forums where the members are much more engaged and helpful.
