Tried a gauge that works but does in my car. So its not my tach. My rpm sensor checked out fine. Where do i go from here guys. I need the rpm gauge i did major engine work need to tune the idle and what not. Nothing i did made it not work it hasnt worked sense i bought the car.

 

Also both fuses are good.

 

Anyone have any ideas

 

You need to describe what's happening more. Does the tach needle flutter around? Is it always at 0? Have you checked the instrument cluster? (There are a few threads here about how some grounding contacts on the cluster need to be resoldered to get the tach needle working)

 

It doesnt work as in it doesnt move. As i said i have used 2 other gauges that work in other cars but not in mine. Its not the gauge.

 

verify that the tach signal is working. plug in an OBDII scanner that has guages. and verify the tach signal is working. I keep a scanguage II installed that can show the Tach when the dash tach acts up
