High Beam Issue after Retrofit

Hey Guys. I have been here on .org for YEARS but am just now got my 4gen Maxima that i have been searching for for years. So the issue i am having is with my headlights the high beams in particular. So i installed a set of LED 9004 bulbs that had the hi/low part to them. They worked fine but the glare was aweful so i ditched that and did a Bixenon HID Retrofit with some E55 projectors. I have done TONS of retrofits in the past on past cars of mine and for friends so i am very familiar with this. But on this 99 maxima after i installed this when i push the switch for high beam the lights turn off completely. I hear the Shield in the projector drops down but the lights go out. Turn the high beams off and low beams illuminate as normal. Now get this..... if i hold the switch and don't click it for the high beam the shield will drop down and the lights stay on but soon as i click it the lights turn off. I took the Hid kit out thinking it was that and put a set of D2s LED bulbs in there and just used the OEM harness plugged up like the normal 9004. The same thing happens now as well. Has anyone had this issue before? What am i missing. I'm sorry this is so long but i want to explain it best i can.

I thought it would make sense for the lights to work in position "C" but not "A" because when holding the switch in the passing mode it powered both the low and high beams, but the FSM seems to disagree with me.

When switching from low to high, does the shield move because it is getting a new power signal (high beam power) telling it to move, or because it is losing a power signal (low beam power) and returning to a default state?

Hmm. I have no idea either. Just to double check i put the Halogen Bulb in and tried and it works as it should. I don't understand it. I guess i wont have high beams then.

Some projectors handle this differently.

I remember reading something about installing a diode between the hot to High Beam to Hot to Low Beam. Something about the low beam hot turning off when high beam is engaged and the high beam power only moves the shudder.

So to get the low beam hot again, a diode is put in to send the Hot in one direction to the low, but the low can't power the high beam.

Diodes only let electricity travel in one direction, kinda like a one way street.

Which diode, I don't know. Some here know, but it's their business and if they give all their trade secrets, they'd have no job.

Call that retrofit place in Atlanta.
