12 Maxima Oil in spark plug cylinder

My 12 nissan maxima started to burn more fuel, so i did a tuneup, changed the plugs, but one of the spark plugs was covered in oil and coil was too. So i researched for an answer and many posts were because due to bad valve cover gasket and o rings. So i unscrewed my engine again only to find the gaskets are in good condition. So Nissan heads, what do you think it may be ?

How much oil, which plug? Is it relatively clean? If its on the front bank it could be just a little leftover from a spill when refilling during a previous change. Can you see trails from where it came from?

A warped valve cover could do it to...but start with new gaskets, just visually inspecting them isn't the best troubleshooting. Also, use a torque wrench and ease in the screws alternating so as not to warp the cover yourself.

Oil around spark plug and coil means one thing. The spark plug tube oil seal
is leaking.

watch this video
it shows that Nissan, in its ultimate wisdom made spark plug tube gaskets non replaceable. WTF??? I have been wrenching on cars for a while and this is just asinine.
If you read comments, there are multiple ways to get it done.
Some also reference this company:

I don't have any affiliation with it and one person in comments said he was screwed by them. Use them for instruction purpose and/or reach out to see if they are legit.

Here is a link to their tutorial

Seems like the most difficult part is sourcing the new seals that are compatible.

If you are not willing to mess around with it, the only way would be to replace the entire valve cover. Note, it may or not come
with new valve cover gasket, so obviously you will need a new one of that as well.

Follow up on this, new valve covers are under $50 each MSRP from Nissan. Cheap enough to just get new covers and be done with it

I had that problem once in my 2k....thought what you thought at first....but took a screwdriver with a clean rag and cleaned out all the oil in the cylinder and plug and coil....put everything back together never happened again......not sure how it happened still lol.....some way the oil got in there, maybe overfilled the oil when adding some when it was low....only thing I did when the prob;lem came. Seal was fine cause when checking again it was never there again.....plus the way I found out about it was cause of the misfire in that cylinder due to the oil.
