I love the CVT. Never having owned one I didn't know what to expect. IMHO, it suits the car perfectly; it allows the healthy power the engine outputs to be INSTANTLY on hand.
I've had an have (including a 3rd Gen Mazda RX-7) some really powerful and/or quick/fast cars in my life, and the Max definitely doesn't disappoint. It's 80 - 120 time is just...phenomenal.

Good to hear, it is definitely an adjustment, but good adjustment on the ride, my '05 was 5-spd AT.
I haven't floored it or done anything crazy yet, trying to baby it for few days and learning how it runs overall.
Power is good, ride is great and handles well, so far seems like a good purchase.
