I'm wondering if anyone who has owned both the 3rd and 4th gen Maximas, particularly the 3rd gen that had the higher HP 3rd gen engine how you would compare the two. Both from a handling and performance sense and also just general enjoyment.

 

I don't know where you get your info with the 3rd gen, since the 3rd gen offered a 3.0 SOHC engine that rated 160 from 1989-1994 on the GXE and the 92-94 model year also have the 3.0 DOHC for the SE model only rated 190hp. The 4 Gen has a 3.0 DOHC VQ engine rated at 190hp but as for handling that's up in the air because the 4gen has a rear solid beam, no independent suspension like the 3rd gen

 

Which information was incorrect? I was looking for a comparison of the 3rd gen with the 4th gen, particularly the 3rd gen SE with the 190hp engine since it has the same power as the 4th gen.
