Who out there has a lousy clock and climate control display?

Anyone wanting to replace their clock or climate control with a good display?

I would like a climate control unit with a good display and that works. What have you got?

That's actually a pretty neat idea if your not wanting or feel the need for the clock.

Aftermarket headunits have clock display so I found having two redundant. Does anyone still rock the stock stereo? LOL!

I did when I got my First Maxima, and the Second. But the Third have an aftermarket unit.
I want to make a Stereo system with an stock base, but aftermarket internals, with the Ipod interface in place of the cassette. I'm far from making that happen.

if you want the look of the OEM stereo, you can wire in a hidden aftermarket headunit but keep the OEM where it is. lots of guys with classic cars end up doing that. not even ashamed i rocked the OEM deck with a cassette aux in my 3rd gen for years lol. my new deck automatically connects to Spotify on my phone, cant go back to anything else

There is a tiny incandescent bulb that lights up the manual climate control display, it's part number 27545-53e00. But you might be better off soldering an led in there since it's 2019. On a related note, some of you youngins might not know that the POWER/COMFORT switch is also illuminated. There's isn't a part number for the individual bulbs, but they are another tiny incandescent. I bought new ones at Radio Shack once upon a time, but again you might try to solder in an LED today.

My 93 GXE still has the stock deck with a cassette player. My 94 GSE has a pioneer avh 601ex double din which automatically connects to my phone. Ordered a clutch and pressure plate from rockauto last night and soon, the 93 will be a GSE as well - not quite, I may not do the rear disc brake swap.
