Consistency in the simulated shifts

Probably old News for most people on this forum, but I think this guy is one of the best car reviewers in the You Tube World. From the video and from most users on this forum, I think the acceleration of the Maxima is pretty awesome. I have yet to find a situation where I didn't have enough power. However, I do agree the simulated shifts of the CVT does seem inconsistent at times. Most times it goes through the simulated shifts and sounds pretty cool but other times it does seem inconsistent in how the power is applied. Has anyone noticed inconsistencies in how the CVT decides to apply its simulated shifts?

Yes, when I lie awake at night, pondering the meaning of life and the origin of the Universe, I often wonder why the simulated shifts of the CVT does seem inconsistent at times.

Or not.
