1997 Maxima GLE. AC system quit working. Dye showed leaks in the compressor and low-pressure valve. I'm replacing the compressor, condenser, drier, expansion valve, and low-pressure port. My question is do I still need to do an ac system flush to clean out the remaining parts or is it enough to vacuum pump the system after everything is replaced? If so at what stage do I do the flush? I don't want to spend all that time, energy, and money replacing everything only to miss something important. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

 

The only items I'm not seeing in your list of replacements are the evaporator and the high pressure hose.

I'm assuming that when you say "low pressure port" you're meaning the entire low side line/hose as the service port is incorporated into the line.

If all of what I've said is true, I'd be my opinion that spending the extra $60 to $80 on an evaporator and high side hose would be a good idea and forget the flushing thing.

Don't forget O-rings and before you install them don't forget to season them with PAG.
