Fan speed

hey guys. Was driving my 95 Maxima today and when I got home I shut the engine off. Went back out 5 mins later started the car and now the fan will only operate on high. No other fan speeds work. All fan speeds worked just fine earlier this morning. Hoping someone can tell me what has happened and how to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

your blower motor resistor has taken the rest of its life off. pretty common with these cars.
.
this is what you seek .. every parts store should carry them. takes under 3 mins to swap out

As above but you might also want to change the blower motor as well. As the motor ages it needs more current to start and run which will overheat the resistor. At a minimum, remove the blower and make sure it is clean. Dirt and debris with also cause the motor to draw more current to spin.
