Battery Failure on my 2016

Sometime back I wrote that I was having problems with corrosion on the positve terminal of the car battery on my 2016 Platinum with 36K on the clock.
As someone correctly pointed out, that is a red flag to replace the battery, but I instead cleaned the terminal and forgot about it. That is till today, when at 39K the battery failed! I should have listened to the Forum advice instead of having to take a half day off to get it replaced under duress. Lesson learned! It's a good idea to check yours too.

Nissan Batteries are junk from the factory... 1 or 2 years is about it.. especially in the hot and humid climates in the South...The positive terminal corrodes and the negative cable over time does corrode as well...

Yes the factory batteries seem underwhelming at best. 1st battery I have replaced in just 37 months from new.

Went with the factory dealer replacement battery. I just extended the 36 month lease to 39 and this happens @ 37 months. Just hoping the 2019s will finally show up at dealers soon.
