Around view monitor parts

If anyone has a totalled platinum? I'm looking to see if I can install the around view monitor on my SR. Let me know if you have the around view camera module located in the lower dash.

Insurance company will likely own a totaled car, can't take off factory parts of a car you don't own anymore. You're only going to find that option if you go to a junkyard and pull the parts if they don't pull them for you. That said, I'm not sure it's worth the hassle. You're talking about a lot of work to install a feature that you could have just gotten if you went with the Platinum in the first place. In that, the grief and cost you're going to incur, you would have been better to just pay more at the initial purchase.

True words of wisdom spoken from this poster. I don't doubt you have the skills, its just getting all the parts and hoping the wiring is there on the cheaper model you wish to update. For example, I thought about adding the steering wheel shift levers to my Platinum but sadly there was no existant wiring to plug into.

Well if all else fails, you can have each of your kids stick their head out a different window, and holler when you get close to the curb. Or you can trade for a newer SR... I think they started adding around view with the 2018
