2L to 3L Swap

I live in South Africa and have a 2.0L maxima 5speed manual. In the states this is a infinity i30.

I would like to upgrade to the 3L motor but not sure if the gearbox (tranny) is the same?

Anyone have an answer on this?

Thanks guys

Those of us in North America and most other locations all have the 3.0 engine, and the 2.0 engine is either unknown, or it was never offerred.

One idea might be to look up the part number for the transmission you have in your car, then the part number the 3.0 engines have. If they are the same, use the same proceedure for the clutch portions.

The transmissions we received in the US are:
RS5F50A
RS5F50V
RE4F04A
RE4F04V

If your transmission is one of those, it is the same as we got.
