can a bad strut or strut mount cause uneven tire wear like balding on the outer side? I bumped a curb last year and I replaced everything except the strut. Still wears unevenly.

I would imagine if the strut mount really degrades and destroys the rubber inside, it could change the geometry enough. But It would be pretty noisy on rough roads.

You said you did everything eklse.... Including the LCAs? And an alignment afterwards and didn't slam a pothole since?

Also was the car ever hit?

If you do decide to rebuild the front struts, use the SE Strut Mounts and also a new Strut Bearing, and Rubber Insulators and all. OEM NISSAN ONLY.

Yea Everything LCA (MOOG) and NSK wheel bearings.
No potholes. I haven't done alignment but would that cause the outer tire wear?
I plan on going to jy to see if I can get some OEM mounts and seats etc.
Are KYB mounts any good? They're on ebay.

I would recommend checking the alignment if you haven't after the incident with the curb.

You're kidding that you didn't get an alignment after the front end work? RIGHT? ANY FRONT END WORK!

This must be a joke?

Best OEM strut mounts are $43 and up or so each if you shop by part number. The rest will give you problems prematurely. And why would you want a USED Strut mount? The rubber in them is what degrades. Strut mounts are a CONSUMABLE and wear and have a limited life. Not like all metal parts that don't fatigue. And some do.

Find the lowest price SHIPPED:
Strut Mount Nissan 5432040u02
Strut Bearing : Nissan 5432531U01

And all the other rubber parts.

Thanks for the advice but No I'm not kidding. I guess the mounts will be brand new, but what I meant was I want the spring seats and the rubber isolators as mine are pretty rough condition. I try to stay away from firestone. I have what's called the 'lifetime alignment plan' which entitles me to free alignments. But they are always trying to get me to buy extra services that I don't need, plus one time this kid who didn't know how to drive stick kept killing it, and the last time I got it done, some keys and a magnetic stash box holding said keys under the front bumper went missing (old keys anyway and they don't know my current address even if it was not an old key but still).
I'm on the fence about getting that DIY alignment tool.
