Do Strut mounts make a difference?

Do Strut mounts make a difference?

OK my car was riding very hard and i have a friend at Nissan and got put brand new Struts/Shocks and Strut Bearings on.My car still feels like a skatboard.I didnt change my strut mounts but i think i will but wanted to know if that might amke a difference or could it be something else?

I'm not sure which part the strut mount is. Is it the part with the studs in it or the washer type thing ontop of that? If it is either of those, I don't understand how they could be bad, unless you removed your bumpstops, seeing as it is metal. When installing my AGX's I replace the bearing and it solved all my problems.

i dont know which part they are,my friend asked me if i wanted the strut mounts as well and i said no.I didnt even know what they were or what they did and i still dont know.

Yes, they will help!. My mechanic found a lot of play in the mount's bolts and changed the strut mount.

I guess they allow more suspension travel - so that can help if your bottoming out easily. And Im not sure about your guy's strut mounts, but on my 3g Prelude we could silicone an o-ring on the mount bushing and it would make it ride a lot smoother.

kev, did you use the same method as the other guy that had the LED's and how long did it take? i'm really interested in undertaking the project sometime soon. how does it look when the car is off ?

bad strut mounts accounted for twitchy handling (it felt nervous, almost as if the car always wanted to switch lanes) on the highway, while my car was aligned.
