Failing wheel bearing 17 Maxima?

Honestly have so much distrust for my Nissan Dealership at this point. Two visits with no remedy to the shaking/vibrations but maybe I've diagnosed my issues randomly.

I drove today for a decent amount of time, got out & I had the notion to feel each wheel. The front passenger was 10x hotter with heat noticeably coming from it compared to the other 3. A very big difference.

Could this be a failing wheel bearing hub assembly that is failing causing my vibrations under acceleration? I actually recall thinking I was hearing a roaring noise previously but just chalked it up to my mind wanting it to be a wheel bearing issue and not something more serious like a CV joint or transmission. It def isnt loud like my last wheel bearings. My car will also slightly pull to the left as well. Dealership claimed this was because the 17 Maxima's drive wheel is the front driver side but who knows.

I had previously replaced the driver front and back wheel bearings but not the passenger front or back.

Any suggestions? bearing or brake stuck?

Took it to a local shop today and they immediately felt the vibration... Nissan and tire discounters both couldn't feel anything and claimed nothing was wrong.

Mechanic which is fully certified through Nissan's tech program immediately said 100% both front rotors were slightly warped. I mentioned this to Nissan at the dealership during one of my previous two visits and they wrote it off like it couldn't be an issue.

Needless to say the vibration seems to have got better mostly. I still feel something but it does seem to have fixed the majority.

I did ask about the growling noise from the CVT at low speeds and low acceleration and he like the dealership don't seem to think there isn't any problem with that noise. He said he's fixed/replaced tons of 09s-14 but nothing newer and he can't recall ever having to replace a CVT on a maxima.

Glad to hear you were able to get this sorted out! You spent good money on your car, deserve to have it running in top shape. I think the newer design is more reliable, have only seen a handful of failures on the 8th gen Maxima Facebook forums. Most are higher mileage, people never changed the fluid at 80k+ miles, or were abusing it. Of course like any forum, etc. there will be a bunch of people who have absolutely no problems and also are quiet about it.

Here's the thing, if you've been running hot hubs because of the brakes rubbing for extended periods, you could have shortened the life of the wheel bearing for certain. boiling up the lubricant sealed inside could have broken it down; now the metal is more prone to friction.

Just a theory of course, but I'd be at least a little concerned if you're still not 100% satisfied with the fix.

Yeah I agree. I'm actually replacing the front passenger hub assembly as we speak. The other side was done a couple weeks ago. I think this will fix most of the vibration issues honestly. Even though Nissan claims nothing is wrong with it.

The vibration tends to get worse the longer its driven along with a slight noise. Odd situation.
