Wheel bearing tool question

Hello I seen a guy on YouTube using the wheel bearing
tool where you can take it out of the hub without removing
the hub and wondering has anybody done this ? It would be a lot easier
and you won’t have to get alignment... I seen were you can rent it
like auto zone ..,

If it's the one tool that is basically a press w/a sleeve to receive the wheel bearing then yes I have done both of my fronts with one.
My local parts stores only had a hub puller for rent. The bearing tool I purchased on ebay for like $44 shipped. Great investment as I've used it twice so it's already paid for itself.

All I can say is: Make sure you remove the snap ring retaining clips from both sides of the bearing assembly before using the tool.

Recently, we had a member not pay attention to the fact they were there and destroyed the tool. Then payed someone to do it right and removing the knuckle to do so. LOL The whole reason he bought it was to NOT have to pull the knuckle.

A local shop should press out and press in for about $50, BTW ...

My question is can you remove the axle part with the tie rod
end disconnected and lower ball joint removed ? I don’t
want to remove the bolts to the bottom of strut .. I am trying
to avoid a alignment because I have camber bolts on that
side due a small impact on that side .. the alignment is perfect
I just want to get the axle out without going Thur a new alignment..
