What would be causing my passenger side exhaust pipe to be WAYYYY louder than the driver side even at idle on my 2017 maxima. Sound increases with accerlation. I'm also noticing some performance issues and vibration in the gas pedal while accelerating.

The driver side is quite and the passenger is a deep rumble even at idle.

Exhaust leak or cat issue?

 

its most likely that you have an exhaust leak no doubt about it. if your able to or have someone that can help have the car up on a ramp or on jacks or a lift with it running to hear the leak from that bad side of the car.
