Need help picking a tire size...

a 95 gle comes with 205/65/15 and the se comes with 215/60/15
i was wondering about putting on 215/65/15 on a gle. should i put on the smaller 60 series tire? how will it look?? i don't want a non lowered look. i'm not to sure on how the series tire affects how the wheel gap looks. thanks.

It won't make a whole lot of difference which one you use.

205/65R-15 = 25.49" dia, 80.08" cir.
215/60R-15 = 25.16" dia, 79.04" cir., +1.3% speedo error
215/65R-15 = 26.00" dia, 81.69" cir., -2.0% speedo error

Go with 225-60-15s and call it a day.

Actually I was thinking of 97+ SEs which come with a 7" wide wheel. If your wheel is 7" wide, which I'm not sure if it is or not, I'd get a 225 width tire for more traction/increased performance.

Not that it realy matter but;
If
the 215/60 is +1.3%, then
the 215/65 should be +2.0% not minus.

Huh?
I think he used minus because 215/65 results in a larger diameter than stock, so speedo will read 2% lower than actual. He used +1.3% because speedo reads higher than actual.

Well, 215/65 will fill the gap a little better, will lower the miles you rack-up on the odometer by 2% and may increase gas mileage a bit.

215/60 will give you slightly better acceleration (probably not noticable, or even measurable).
