How many of you low riders are w/stock struts ?

I have 60,000 miles on my '95, and she runs like new. I put my B&G's on a few months ago and so far so good. Put about 3k miles on them I think.

So how many of you guys are still riding on stock struts ? I have heard some of you saying you have been for 50,000 miles and good.

So, lets here it fellas.

that is sweet to hear! It's also sweet cause yours is lower so the chances of yours failing are greater than mine

How many miles you got on that ruby Gxe bro ?

My car had 30K on it when I put H&R's in it. After 3 months she got bouncy. I also wound up with spring noise that I could not get rid of. Drove me nuts! So I wound up back on stock springs and threw the AGX's in there. Now she rides sweet!

It's case buy case, some cars have no problems and some, like myself, had lots of problems.

Ive been riding on sprints for a while now on stock struts and eventually the ride gets harsh and noisy, its happens gradually over time. You will regret not doing struts with springs at the same time...........

Its still a stiffer spring and will wear out weak stock struts in time........

Good thread!

I wonder if local road conditions matter?

If you live in a city where the roads suk, I'm assuming your stock struts will wear sooner than someone who does mostly highway driving.

Re: How many of you low riders are w/stock struts ?

Matt just installed his KYB adjustables last night and hes been riding on his stock shocks god knows for how long. I rode on my stock shocks for a long time myself before I bought some Konis
if there is nothing wrong with the ride Craig then ride save money keep in back of your mind that one day you have to replace them so just have it handy!!!!!!!

the coilovers are $250...konis are 430 off custommaxima.com(i think) i bought the konis like 6 months ago when they were $470

for those who don't already know, i really really like this setup...the ride isn't bad...(a little stiff, but look how low i have it, so its to be expected) and i don't think GC's go this low...

It says only availible for 4gens.

I wonder if it will fit on 5gens since the suspension is basically the same?
