Intermittent turn signal fail

Has anyone experienced this?

Went to use the turn signals yesterday, didnt come on. Then a minute later they came on.

Same thing today. Sometimes working, mostly not. Same issue left or right, and the hazzards are not working either.

Update, I would like to add that when they are working, all four front and rear are working. Additionally, the brake lites are working fine and are not affected at all.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

check your wiring at the bulbs, or it could be the turn signal switch at the steering wheel arm itself. have to do some process of elimination. I assume fuses are good since it works sometimes. Could also be a faulty relay.

I had a similar issue with a 92 Nissan truck.
It had a 4 way emmergency flasher switch which would stick sometimes.

I pressed the 4 way switch a few times. The problem hasn't come back.

So try playing with the emergency flasher switch on the dashboard, and see if it solves the problem.

Your hazard relay may be going out.

Update: Fixed.

Turned out the issue was due to faulty flasher. The part was $8

Easy fix, it's located under the dash just above the accelerator pedal. (Requires removal of kick panel below the steering column. Easy, 2 screws.
